Television / Books

I’ve appeared on TV a couple of times, mainly on Men and Motors as a motorcycle expert for a number of panel shows. My first foray into TV was with the abortive pilot show of FHM TV where I tested deodorant by dancing in the High Street and playing squash dressed as Yogi Bear. It’s fair to say my performance was a masterpiece. I’ve appeared on a number of motorcycle shows on Men and Motors, including three seasons of Top 10 Bikes, the quiz show Pit Stop Bikes and appeared on Channel 4’s World Superbike show as a guest commentator three times. I was also asked to audition for a Discovery Channel show about motorcycling late in 2005.
In 1999 I was approached by Haynes Publishing to write the launch title of a new series of books entitled – Haynes’ Great Bikes. In November 2000 my book on the Honda CBR900RR FireBlade was launched, followed up by a similar title on the Suzuki GSX-R750 in 2001. As well as working on these books for Haynes, I also completed a biography with double World Superbike Champion Colin Edwards in 2003. As well as TV and books, I've also helped out when companies have needed an interviewer or guest speaker about any motorcycling subject for presentations and events.
